Arthur Murray Montreal Team wins 2nd at Blackpool Dance Festival

iLoveDanceShoes would like to congratulate Christopher Panasuk and his students, Nadia Sicilia and Josée Dubuc, from the Arthur Murray Montreal Dance Studio on their success at the Blackpool Dance Festival 2017. This festival, which took place in May in the coastal town of Blackpool, England, is one of the top dance competitions in the world.

Both Nadia and Josée finished second overall in their respective divisions and Nadia and Christopher also won the Blackpool Pro-Am Smooth Vice Champion.

We sat down with Christopher and Nadia a few weeks before their competition. They shared with us how they started dancing, the challenges they face, the people who inspire them, and their advice for those who are considering dancing professionally.

Dance the night away at these outdoor dance events in Montreal, Ottawa, and Toronto!

dancing on water

If there’s one season Canadians get excited about, it’s summer. The weather finally warms up, the sun is shining, and we all just want to spend as much time outside as possible. There’s nothing like a Canadian summer.

And of course, you’ll need a new pair of dance shoes from iLoveDanceShoes that are perfect for outdoor dancing! For women and men the Agile is always a favourite since it’s comfortable to wear for long periods of time for both practice and performance. For women specifically both the Delphine and Zinnia are fantastic options – they are a great practice sneaker that will provide you with a great grip on the floor no matter your level or floor material.
